Malone Vocabulary World History

Students were learning new vocabulary in World History. The process that they have been using throughout the trimester is to first find the word in the text and write down the sentence that it is used in. Next, they write the definition in their own words. Rather than having the students work independently, they have been assigned partners and each partner completes a different step in the process. The partners also are encouraged to check for understanding and, if needed, reword the sentence or definition as a way to increase understanding.
